My great-grandmother, Francis Emma Maxwell b. 2 Sept. 1846 (married Hamilton S. Davidson in Page Co., Iowa, 1865). They raised their family in Wasco County, Oregon. She died 13 March 1912 and is buried in Kelly Cememtery, Wasco Co., Oregon. Francis was the daughter of Robert Maxwell, b 1815 in Lebanon (Warren) Ohio and Charlotte Judd. Robert moved with his parents in 1817 to Dearborn Co., Indiana, and then in the late 1830s or early 1840s they moved to Morgan Co., Indiana. In the early 1850s Robert and Charlotte moved to Savanah, MO, and then on to Page County, Iowa. Robert was the son of James Maxwell b. in County Down, Ireland. He married Jane Bulen/Bullen. James Maxwell came to America in 1805, arriving Germantown, Columbia Co., N.Y. I have no other information on my Maxwell line. It would be wonderful if I could connect with someone else who comes from this James Maxwell line.
