Well now we are back to James H. Maxwell (our dad's great, great grandfather) and we can not confirm James H.'s father. James H. Maxwell born 1849 or 1850 died before 1878 James H. was married to Sarah Cole. Their son Charles Patterson Maxwell b 2/18/1872 (our father, Charles John Maxwell's b. 3/19/1927 great grandfather) married Mary Francis Hassett and had the following children: Mary Maxwell she married Paul Albaugh lived in Steubenville, OH Anne Maxwell she married Arthur Hines and moved to McMechen WVa. Francis Eugene Maxwell he married Ruth lived in Urichsville then Columbus, OH Martha Carol Maxwell (Wright) -> this is our dad's mother, she was not married at the time of his birth. They lived in Dennison, OH Martha Carol married James Wright abt. 1942 Our dad's birth certificate names Wendall Fowler as his father. He never met him and we have found nothing on Wendall Fowler. Our, Charles Patterson Maxwell b 2/18/1872 Newcomerstown, OH, had the following brothers. Fred Maxwell, lived in Massillon OH at the time of C.P. Maxwell's death. David & Robert Maxwell, lived in Dennison, OH at the time of C.P. Maxwell's death. Harry Maxwell, lived in Lorain, OH at the time of C.P. Maxwell's death. James H. b. 1849, looks like a fit to: Hezekiah Maxwell b. 8/21/1815 Bloomfield Twp, Jefferson Co. OH son of Robert Maxwell b. 7/30/1769 Adams Co. PA The caretaker at Unionport Cemetary, where all my father's relatives are buried, told my sister that he knows we are related to Robert Maxwell b. 7/30/1769 Adams Co. PA. But, we just are not sure who the father of James H. b. 1849 is, or how to find the information.
