i am trying to find any information about my great grandfather george maxwell from armagh in northern ireland,whereabouts i dont know.he came from a large family his father george maxwell my ggreat grandfather, was a grandmaster of the orange lodge in that area.i can only name three sons of his william,arthur and my greatgrandfather george who came over to glasgow in the early 1900s and married an elizabeth philips .he signed up for ww1 1914 sapper george maxwell 7th field coy then amalganated with the 50th division fought at flanders ypres and was captured at the battle of aisne 27th may 1918.my ggrandfather then became a pow,who died30/10/1918in a pow camp hospital[the story goes that he died from a heavy beating for stealing food and giving it to other sick pows.he is buried in cologne southern cemetery germany he had sons george,my grandfather, who had a twin called james, arthur, my grandfather had sons george, whois deceased,my father called ormond whohad 2 sons[ meee ],and my brother called ormond.i have a son and a daughter and yess i called my son george who is 18 and hopefully keep the name george maxwell alive in the near future.but it is my ggreat grandfather or any of his relations i seek on my painstaking journey. this is the first time i have done anything like this .if i get any more info  i will be in touch again  wish me luck.
