Does anyone have any information on a Dorothea Maxwell who married a James Smith in 1819, the information we have so far is shown below, but we would like to go back further if anyone can help.   1798c Born in Dumfries Scotland 1819 28th Nov married a James Smith in Dumfries, Scotland. 1822 Thomas Smith (a son) was born in Troqueer, Kirkcudbrightshire. 1827 7th Nov, George Smith (a son)was born in Dumfries. 1851 Census. Husband running a 130 acre farm with 11 labourers in Troqueer, Kirkcudbrightshire, aged 53 1859 Husband dies. 1861 Running 170 acre farm in Troqueer, aged 61. 1871 Living at 2 St Georges Cresent, Stanwix, Cumberland aged 71. 1880 Dies in Carlisle, aged 83. They also had a daughter Margaret Smith to whom my wife is related. Thanks in anticipation. Brian Miller
