Hi, For years I've been trying to learn more about my Maxwell roots. My grandfather William Maxwell appears in the 1880 Philidelphia Census. It gives Ireland as place of birth for his father JOHN Maxwell head of household. His mother's name was Kate (English her maiden name my aunt told me)also born in Ireland. Do you know how old the 4 brothers were when they came? The other sons of John were named Joseph and Edgard. There was a daughter Agnes. My aunt told me Agnes married a Grey or Grey.  There were eye problems in the family.
