Thomas Maxwell b 1784 was my fourth great grandfather, Thomas Jr b Ky 1815, my 3rd ggf,went to Tx in 1841, 1843 they returned to Knox Co. Ill. serving in the Black Hawk, & Mexican war, killed while crossing railroad tracts 1890, his son John A., B Henry Co Ill. 1848 was my ggf, they moved to Malcom Iowa 1875,his daughter Catherine, m. George Pearce was my father's mother.  In the county history book John A. said Thomas Sr. father was John. Said John and his brother James arrived in W. Virginia, but have not had any luck finding them...
