Some members of the Maxwell family in Ladner, BC, Canada maintain that we should call ourselves Irish, since the trail of genealogy peters out in Belfast. I maintain that should one go further back down the tree, one would find a Scottish descendant or two. Without enlisting a detective, can anyone substantiate my claim? Thanks Al
