Dear Don Stumbled across your website whilst undertaking research to trace details of my Fathers Father. Are you linking, or have links, to Maxwells still living in the UK? I'm a little stuck on this. Was inrigued by your DNA research as the other half of my family can almost certainly trace DNA to their specific region of birth for over 5000 years! From what I understand my fathers line originates in Glasgow but then that's hardly news. I don't really know how to undertake any search because my grandfather abandoned my father during ww2 and my grandmother is reticent to discuss it with him or anyone else. We know of a half brother in Australia and vague notions surrounding an illegitimate daughter in Western Scotland at around the time of the abandonment. There's probably very little you can offer in the way of help - me being stuck here in London. But it was nice to find the Maxwell Web Site anyway. Regards Andrew |
