Several of us  are now searching for our ancestor David Maxwell in Liverpool or Dumfries about 1810 to 1840. Are there any records of Maxwell populations in these areas about this time that may help? or census records?  He had at least 2 sons born between 1810 and 1820 . Mother of boys unknown. Birth records so far not helpful. Any suggestions will be gratefully received!
