I am looking for information on William Alexander Maxwell of Calderwood who was born in Polmont Stirling, Scotland - 30th April, 1793. I wondered if there was any mention in the book "The Maxwells of Scotland" of him. He married a lady called Catherine Cameron Logan in 1847 - she is reputed to have been of Maxwell descent also. I am also looking for a John Maxwell of Fingalton (Fingaltoun) Renfrewshire who would have been alive at the end of the 1700's his cousin was Stephen Maxwell who was silversmith in Glasgow?
