I am interested in obtaining any information about Thomas Maxwells early life prior to his arrival in NZ (1828?) He may have travelled to NZ in the company of a cousin. He was a ship builder by trade so obviously learnt this somewhere in Scotland.There has been some speculation over him being married prior to his arrival in New Zealand.
