Hi Jinky, I don't think we have ever met but from what my Dad (Thomas R. Maxwell, Iola, KS) tells me, we are related through Thomas Oliver who would be my Great Grandfather. My grandfather was John Virgil Maxwell, Aspinwall, PA who was Ruby Maxwell's brother. I have some information of Ruby Maxwell's which she gave to my Dad.   I am interested in getting any additional information you might have on Thomas Oliver. I am particularly interested in why he left Ireland and came to the US?  I have a copy of a letter from a vicar at Annefield Plain, UK with some info on John Virgil the vicar near Liverpool.  I think Ruby may have given this to my Dad.  I am currently reading a book by James Leyburn "The Scotch-Irish:A Social History" to learn more on the history of the Ulster-Scots.
