My family line starts with the younger son of Sir William Maxwell of Monreith (1633-1709) and reaches me Angus Maxwell of Ardwell the younger (1971 - ) living & working in London.  My father and I would be most interested to hear from those who know something more of the history of Sir William's other son Alexander of Monreith.  We're in the book - Caerlaverock that is.
