My Great, Great, Great Grandfather was Dr.Herbert C. Maxwell MD, who migrated from the Glasgow or the Maxwellton area to Raleigh, North Carolina, USA about 1812. He was a family physician in Raleigh, NC for the next 50 years. My Great, Great Grandfather was William Preston Maxwell, born in or near Glasgow in 1812. He immigrated with his father to North Carolina at the age of 6 months. He lived in Raliegh and Asheville North Carolina, Murfreesboro Tenn., Whitney and Hillsboro Texas. I will enjoy hearing from anyone related to or with information about this branch of the Maxwells
