Hello Cindy - I see that you posted this some time ago, but I was searching on the site and spotted your email. My grandfather was Yancey Vickery Maxwell of Elbert Co., GA, who passed away in 1970 in Macon, GA. The book you mentioned is out of print, but the public library in Milledgeville, GA has a copy of it in their reference book section. They won't allow you to take it out, but you can look at it and make copies of the pages. My father is Douglas Barton Maxwell and lives in Milledgeville (he is of the last generation listed in the book). My grandmother was a Barton from Elbert Co. also. I would be interested in hearing who your mother is - bet we're related! Lynn |
