Hi there, My grandfather William Maxwell was born in Ireland.  Not sure where!!! he came to South Africa around 1901.  He apparently came over with the war.  He also fought in the 1914-1918 war here.  We have his army papers which leave a next of kin as MOLLY HART who lived at 57 Foyle Road Londonderry.  We have conflicting info here on his exact year of birth.  I have commissioned a research company to find his birth certificate for us in Ireland.  Not having much joy.  Any info you may have will be appreciated.
