Title: Maxwells of the parish of Urney, Tyrone/Donegal border, NI-Ireland.

Date: 08 September 2009

My ggGrandfather was Samuel Maxwell. A Presbyterian, he was married to Annie Elizabeth McCormick. They lived in the townland of Inisclan (can also be spelt Iniscleen, Ennisclinn, Ennescleen, & Ennesklin!) in the parish of Urney, Co. Tyrone. Samuel died on 27 September 1894, and left his estate to his son, Samuel Jnr, who lived at Tullydoortans.

Other sons were William, and James (my gGrandfather, who lived in Fearn, Co. Donegal, with his wife Matilda, nee McCarter.

Samuel Snr had a brother Robert, listed as a land-owner in 1857, and other brothers(?) who emigrated to the USA around that time.

Any info about these Maxwells would be appreciated.

Max!
