I am desperately seeking a link to my family tree. I have an obit from my ggGrandfather Thomas Maxwell, it states he moved from Donegal Ireland to New York with his parents Mr. and Mrs. James Maxwell at the age of 3. This would have been right around 1839-1840, As Thomas was born in 1836. The census records from around my hometown in Ia show him listed as both parents born in Ireland. I can not track down anything on his parents I have wondered if his obit is correct as I have found other dates etc. incorrect. If anyone has anything on a James and Thomas of this time frame please contact me.
