I am searching for the parents of Wesley Maxwell of Henderson Co. Tn. born 1813 died1884. The mother's name is  Elizabeth born 1785 and the father is John. Seeking information on John. Is the Maxwell family of western Tn. Haywood Co. the same John Maxwell of Mecklenburg Co., N.C. private in NC militia 1776. He last appeared in the 1840 Haywood Co. census age 76 as revolutionary war pensioner. He would have been very young to be in the War of Independance? But thats what the Tenn. records say.
