I am just starting my search with this post. My father is John Douglas Maxwell Jr. His father was John Douglas senior. My great granfather was Joesph and he had a brother Howard. They all live in or around Glen Cove New York. Also my grandfather had a property he called "Maxwalton" or some similar spelling. I know this was a reference to family property some where further back. Any information on the signifigance of the property would also be great. Please help me find a place to start.
