I am looking for any information about Thomas Maxwell from Cumberland County, NC.  A few of his children moved to southwest GA and settled in the early 1800's.  It was told that five Maxwell brothers moved from Scotland to the US (Virginia??) in early 1700's and Thomas Maxwell moved to NC. I am searching for any history on how Thomas Maxwell's family moved here from Scotland and any information beyond upon parts of his family moving to southwest GA.
