My G.G.G.G.G. Grandfather was Thomas Maxwell came from Scotland to North Carolina near Fayette ville.  Married Margaret McFail in NC Her parents were from Scotland.  They had 8 children John, Robert, Daniel, William, James, Mary, Jannette and Elizabeth.  Robert Married Delia Williams of Ireland decent, G.G.G.G. James Maxwell Married Elizabeth Williams ( Sister of Delila Williams).  Robert and James moved to Southwest GA (Calvary, GA) in  1832.  I am seeking information preceding their parents.  Where in Scotland,and why they came to America.
