Jack, I just picked your your February 7, 2011 post in reply to my original of 2009. I contacted the Mindenmines Maxwells a couple of yeears back , there is quite the collection of Maxwells in that location, all relatives of ours. My connection to you is through John Maxwells parents William Maxwell ( 1821-1879) born County Tyrione and Elizabeth Eaton (1827-1871) born County Donegal. They moved to Scotland before  September 1848 when Mary is born , John  1850(your great grandfather) and Thomas in 1853 (my great grandfather).
